Erin is a Chicago based photographer with over 14 years of experience.

Erin has specialized in everything from portraits to interiors but it was her love of fine art and interior design that inspired MERINDA Studio.

Erin uses a process she happily stumbled upon to turn her fine art photographs into surface patterns and the resulting designs offer a fresh take on textiles and wallcoverings for both residential and commercial interiors.

Erin also releases a limited number of fine art photographic works on paper each year. Her work explores the tension between urban and rural, digital and analog and man and nature.

Mindy’s love of fashion and interior design started as a kid in Kansas cutting up Vogue and Better Homes & Gardens to make collages for her bedroom wall. Soon, she was off to NYC where she worked her way up from the sample closet to fashion week for the likes of Ralph Lauren and Chanel.

Mindy earned her MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern, where she met her husband and eventually settled to raise her family.

While in Chicago, she made the leap into home decor working for Crate & Barrel on branding and international expansion. After several decades of building other brands, she decided it was time to build her own. As if the business gods had heard her, she received an email from Erin not long after that started with, "I have an idea can we meet for coffee?"
